Skopjanec suspected of violence against his own child

The Public Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (BPPO) has initiated proceedings against a 37-year-old Skopje person who has reasonable suspicion of committing a crime of « violence against child » under Article 201-a of the Criminal Code. On April 5, according to the BPPO, the suspect committed physical and mental violence against his son born 2010.

The child, they pointed out, behaved aggressively and tried to drive him out of his home, after which he grabbed him for the hood in the neck, pulled him out and started throwing him towards the hallway. He then hit him with his hand in the back of his head, causing him an injury that the injured child felt a darkening of his eyes, dizziness and pain, and the suspect continued to forcibly push his son to the exit door.

– Since the suspect has been previously convicted, and another procedure for bodily injury caused in domestic violence is conducted, the public prosecutor assessed that there is a risk of repetition of the crime, as well as circumstances that indicate the danger of escape. For these reasons, a pre -trial judge from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje submitted a proposal for detention – BPPO Skopje said.
