Skara HF Historically-took the club’s first SM gold
With two introductory victories, Skara had set the sights on the SM gold-the first in the association’s history. But when the bag was to be tied together – in front of a home crowd ready for a party – it was instead Sävehof who took a scarce victory earlier this week.
On Thursday, Skara got another chance and this time it went better. Although it became very dramatic in Partille Arena during a final that was first decided by extension.
Finally, Skara won with 31-28.
The first half Became a story as smooth as swinging.
During a goal -oriented start – filled with several technical mistakes and saved shots – it was Lilakled Skara who shrugged an early lead. Then the law took turns taking the initiative – and dropping it.
At half -time, the score was 10–9 to Sävehof after Thea Stankiewicz gave Sävehof the lead at the end of the first half.
« We haven’t said so much more than that we should make a better effort than we did last match, » Skara’s goalkeeper Isabella Mouratidou told the Handball League live at the break. It means we have to stick to what we have to do and release all the barriers.
However, some released barriers were not marked after the break.
At least not too The West Goths that quickly let in three straight goals, which forced coach Rasmus Overby to a timeout.
It gave effect.
Isabella Mouratidou again closed her bag while Melanie Felber and Linnea Säreborn stood for important points ahead. All of a sudden Skara was by and with gold witnesses.
Then Sävehof returned – and got to an extension. There, Skara was strongest and thus won the final series by 3-1.
