Six young men indicted, including the alleged perpetrator of the deadly stab – Liberation
Six men suspected of having taken part Monday in A deadly brawl in front of a high school in Yerres (Essonne) were indicted, the Evry prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday 27 March. « After placement in police custody of nine people in the last 48 hours during the flagrance survey, six people – five adults aged 18 and 19 and a minor 17 years old – were referred to the prosecution this afternoon »said the public prosecutor, Grégoire Dulin on Wednesday evening.
The 19 -year -old, suspected of being the author of the fatal stab, was indicted and placed in pre -trial detention. Originally from the Tournelles district of Yerres, he is suspected of having participated on Monday in the fight between rival bands in front of the Louis-Armand vocational high school, which ended in the death of a 17-year-old teenager, fatally injured with a stab on his back.
During his police custody, the defendant admitted to being present on the scene, but denied having carried the dead « Despite the video surveillance images and videos taken by witnesses »had detailed the Evry prosecutor on Wednesday evening.
A 17 -year -old young man, also tournal, was indicted and placed in pre -trial detention pending a contradictory debate, which will take place on Monday. He is suspected of complicity in murder and voluntary violence.
Four other suspects, all major and from the Hautes Mardelles district in Brunoy, were also indicted, but they were placed under judicial supervision by the liberties and detention judge. The latter are implicated for having committed voluntary violence.
The Evry prosecution opened a judicial information for voluntary homicide on Wednesday, complicity in voluntary homicide and voluntary violence that led to a total incapacity for work less than eight days, committed with weapons, in a meeting and near a school.
The Department of Essonne, a territory with 1.3 million inhabitants in the south of Île-de-France, is regularly the scene of clashes between bands of young adolescents from rival districts. A quarter of the brawls identified in France are in fact in this department, noted political leaders at a conference on the subject a few months ago.
