On May 23, something happens in Budapest in the II. district, which has not yet been the case in the history of domestic club life: six iconic figures of the Hungarian electronic music scene – Goldhand, SterbinszkyHamvai Pg., Nigel Stately, Peter Makto and DJ Free – first performs together on the same evening, on a single stage. The special event is hosted by Lock The Club in the capital, with a really noble purpose: the full revenue of the event is offered to the Pediatrics Foundation, which is cancer He works with a specially targeted, therapeutic method.

– These six DJs have never been featured in any formation. This is not a nostalgicabul, not a festival. This is a one -time historical cooperation where the biggest ones are not in line because of rivalry but help – emphasizes Imre Klujber (Goldhand)the main organizer of the evening, who added that the list of performers is unique in the history of Hungarian electronic music, as they represent different eras, styles and audiences.

The evening is not only special, but also unrepeatable: due to the activity of the performers, its career on separate paths and its different audience, a possible new joint action is very unlikely. Sterbinszky is an emblematic figure in the disco era of the nineties, Hamvai pg. He is responsible for club hits of the 2000s. Nigel Stately is a domestic warrior of Deep House, Peter Makto, a defining face of underground electronics. DJ Free was a club legend from the former Hajógyári Island, while Goldhand is a domestic and international star who is well known as a producer and club founder.

– Everyone knows this is not about it, but about the kids. If such a line-up comes together for a truly noble purpose, it might set an example for others, Goldhand added.

They help kids with cancer

The action is due to the work of the Pediatrics Foundation, which has revolutionized cancer treatments in recent years with modern molecular studies and targeted drugs. Pediators are a community of doctors, nurses and researchers working in eight children’s oncology centers in the country, who have fundamentally changed domestic child cancer treatment in recent decades. While in the seventies only two of the small patients cured, today this number is around eight to ten. Development is due to targeted therapies.

– Today, there are new types of drugs that affect the cells of the cancer and do not unnecessarily burden the child’s body. This not only improves the chances of survival, but also the quality of life of the healing children – as they have to expect less late complications and side effects, explains Dr. Bálint Egyed, a pediatrician, an expert on the network.

Pediators have developed a diagnostic device park and data processing system from their own sources that can interpret the genetic « map » of tumors and thus target oncology. The full ticket revenue of the Lock All Stars event, along with the advance, on -site and sponsorship features, will be transferred to the Foundation. The goal is not to buy new tools, but to operate laboratories, to further training professionals and to provide international knowledge sharing.
