Sing my song 2025: Start and broadcast dates

Since 2014, “Sing my song – the exchange concert” has brought together seven completely different musicians in the impressive backdrop of South Africa. In a villa near Cape Town, they spend time together to exchange their songs and reinterpret them. We'll tell you everything we got around the show here.

« Sing my song » 2025: Start

The start date is still a mystery, but indications of the start of the new season can be collected using past seasons. In 2023 and 2024 the seasons 10 and 11 started at the end of April. Quite possible that Vox remains loyal to the publication rhythm and also published the new episodes at this time. As soon as we know more, we will inform you here.

« Sing Meine Song » 2025: broadcast dates from season 12

With the broadcast dates, it is like the start date-two sides one and the same medal. So we have to wait for the station to comment. The key data from season 11 again served as a clue: Episode 1 was released on April 23, 2024, the final flickered on July 11, 2024. In the section on next, you can read last year's exchange shops of the artists again.

And maybe she also consoles this good news of the broadcaster: All episodes of « Sing my song – the exchange concert » are up to seven days after the linear TV broadcast of the last episode free of charge RTL+ available. From episode 2, the programs are already available seven days before the broadcast and two years after the end of the season, promised Vox yesteryear. Hopefully we will not be too far out of the window if we assume that it will stay that way in 2025.

« Sing my song »: In 2014 it started

In April 2014, VOX celebrated an extraordinary music show Premiere: Xavier Naidoo for the first time invited artists to “Sing my song – the exchange concert” to South Africa. There were prominent names from different music styles, including Sarah Connor, Andreas GabalierSasha, Roger Cicero, Sandra Nasic from the « Guano Apes » and Gregor Meyle. With their greatest hits and a good dose of anticipation, they traveled to a luxurious villa near Cape Town to venture into a very special musical experiment.

The concept of the show relies on creativity and emotion: Each episode is dedicated to the songs of a participant, which are interpreted by the others in completely new versions. This creates unique new interpretations that make the originals appear in a different light. A very special atmosphere developed against the impressive backdrop of the Cape of Good Hope, shaped by personal stories, deep feelings and musical passion. The artists not only created new musical highlights, but also gave the viewers private insights into their lives and their love of music.

« Sing my song – the exchange concert » immediately inspired a wide audience and reached an average of over two million viewers per episode. The show was awarded the German television award in the « Best Entertainment » category for its success and nominated for the renowned Grimme Prize in 2015. Some of the newly interpreted songs have become real chart strains, including Xavier Naidoo's emotional version of Andreas Gabalier's « Amoi Seg us again » and Sarah Connor's reinterpretation of « sugar dolls ».
