Silina’s non -participation in municipal elections is compared to eating another chosen meal for breakfast / day

At a press conference after a meeting with President Edgar Rinkēvičs Siliņa spoke to journalists in allegories. The Prime Minister said that the man chooses what he would eat and thinks that next time he could want something else. A person, for example, gets oatmeal, though he would have wanted a green cocktail – this choice has been done by someone else and will have to eat what will be placed in front.

« Therefore, in my opinion, it is important that we each participate in the formation of Latvia. Municipal elections are the way we participate in how every citizen who has declared, lives in Latvia and belongs to the state can make their own voice, » said Silina.

The prime minister continued that people who are not politics sometimes seem to understand. Silina reminded them of breakfast choices. The Prime Minister emphasized that the voice of citizens would generally determine how life in municipalities would take place in these troubled times.

« By participating in the choice with your voice, then asking for responsibility from the deputies who will be elected. I urge everyone to participate in municipal elections, not to leave the choice, not to allow your life and future to be decided. Vote for yourself, make this choice.

Speaking about whether changes in the coalition are expected after the municipal elections, the Prime Minister noted that everyone is focused on the municipal elections and no conversations on the issue are open.

Municipal elections will take place this weekend, but residents can put their vote in the previous vote throughout the week.
