The tragedy occurred in July 2021. In the early morning hours the services were alerted that in Roszków (Śląskie Voivodeship) a passenger car was sinking with a 34-year-old woman imprisoned in the middle. When firefighters appeared on the spot, it was too late to help the 34-year-old.

From the account of Andrzej J., a partner of the deceased womanit appeared that the unlucky day the couple went above the water reservoir. They caught fish over the water, camping and consumed alcohol. Then they went to a parked Renault Thalia car and decided to spend the night there.
– The car did not have a handbrake, it was parked forward to the water reservoir. The man, after making sure his partner fell asleep, left the vehicle that pulled into the water. Then he launched an alarm in a nearby hunting position and began to call for help. The car and the woman's body were found at a depth of 5 meters – reports Prosecutor Karina Sprur from the District Prosecutor's Office in Gliwice.
Firefighters extracted the vehicle from the tankin which Aneta's corpse was. The autopsy showed that the cause of her death was a violent suffocation as a result of drowning.
Andrzej J. for a long time convinced everyone that an accident occurred. He claimed that he woke up when the car was already in the tank and the water inside reached halfway through the windows in the front door. His relationship showed that he managed to open the car door, but then the vehicle began to gain water violently. Andrzej allegedly tried to save Aneta, but to no avail. He called for help after swimming to Brzeg.

The investigation, however, showed that Andrzej J. invented the whole story. Its version was undisputed by expert opinions.
– The expert opinions obtained in the field of experiments in water accidents and an expert in the field of road traffic, undermined the version presented by Andrzej J .. The expertise obtained is undeniably that the course of the event indicated by him could not take place – said Karina Słruś.
Investigators also discovered that After Aneta's death, Andrzej J. used her ATM card with which he paid cash. He was insolent enough to pay her for shopping, including For … a candle that lit Aneta's death.
Andrzej J. was detained on January 17 this year. And he heard the charge of murder. Now the District Prosecutor's Office in Gliwice has sent an indictment to the District Court in Rybnik in this case. The man is punishable by imprisonment from 10 years to life imprisonment. His trial will take place before the District Court in Rybnik.
