Signed Memorandum for the re -establishment of the Aviation School in Vlora

In Vlora today was signed a memorandum on the re -establishment of the Aviation School.

The Memorandum on the re -establishment of the school was signed by the head of the state -owned weapons production company Kayo of the Ministry of Defense, Ardi Veliu and the representative of the Israeli company.

Defense Minister Pirro Vengu stressed that this school will bring to the pilots and civilian pilots, according to the needs required.

« The re -establishment of the Aviation School in Vlora, at Vlora Airport, in Akrni, a school that will generate not only military pilots but also civilians, not only military air controllers, but also civilians, always with significant two -way investment, » Veng said.

« As the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned shortly before, the effect of increasing the defense budget throughout this decade, I would like to emphasize a single figure, in the next ten years the investments in defense in the Republic of Albania have been 10 times from 13 million to 138 million euros, » Veng said.

Of course, he added, “Albania, in fulfillment of all liabilities as a country, has invested in critical military infrastructure, but not only and while we take another ambitious step to lead even above 2% of GDP, the budget of protection as a whole, we always try to have an impact on the country, and we have an impact on the economy, Investments in critical infrastructure, so that they can have a second benefit to serve both military mobility and civil mobility. «

« We need to train Naval engineer, armament engineer, air controllers, pilots, and so on throughout the public investment cycle, we need to build a generation of expertise, young professionals who maintain this critical infrastructure and develop it further, » Vengu said.
