-The police determined that a 13-year-old boy, driving an electric scooter, did not adjust the speed, lost his balance, fell over and hit his head on the ground. He was taken by LPR helicopter to the hospital. On Monday, we received information that the 13-year-old unfortunately died. We determine the exact circumstances of the incident – the senior sergeant Aleksander Philipp from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Kartuzy told « Fakt ».
A police spokeswoman added that the 13-year-old did not have a protective helmet on his head.
– We appeal to parents for special supervision over children using bicycles, scooters and other means of transport. We repeat like a mantra so that children put on helmets, because it can significantly reduce the risk of serious head injuries and even save lives – emphasized the policewoman.
