Sibiga and Callas agreed that the pressure on Moscow should be increased after meeting in Turkey

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and the EU Callas Diplomacy Head have agreed on the need to increase pressure on Moscow after the negotiations of Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Turkey.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry wrote about it in Xreports « European Truth ».

On May 16, Sibiga spoke with Callas on the results of diplomatic contacts in Turkey during the last days and about the meeting of Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul.

« We agreed that it is necessary to increase the pressure on Moscow to reach a full and long cease ceasefire, to stop murder and to move peaceful efforts, » the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed.

We will remind, on May 16 in Turkish Istanbul negotiated between delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The media wrote that during them the Russians required, so that US representatives would not be in negotiations with the Ukrainian side and also – put forward a number of unacceptable conditions.

According to the results of the negotiations, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated that during them They were discussed ceasefire and humanitarian issues, as well as possible meeting at the level of leaders.
