Show Workers Union calls strike on April 25 and May 1
The Speed Workers Union, Audiovisual and Musicians-Cena-Seu called a Strike of Sector Workers to April 25 and May 1. The protest is due to the increase in wages and end of precariousness.
The pre-guidance of strike, “to all the work, in all shifts, in the national territory”, on April 25 and May 1, lasting 24 hours on each day, was released this Thursday on the official website of Cena-PS.
The union states that for workers whose working hours begin before 00h00 of strike days, « pre-advice will take effect from the time of the workday. »
The “total stoppage” on strike days aims to participate in the commemorative parade of April 25, 1974 and participation in the national demonstration of 1st May, “for increased salaries and end of precariousness”.
The most recent strike convened by Cena-SSI for all workers in the sector was on November 20, 2021, the day when a national demonstration of CGTP in Lisbon took place.
At the time, the strike was called to ensure the possibility of participation of all workers in the arts sector of shows, audiovisual and musicians in the demonstration, called by CGTP for the general increase of wages, the eradication of precariousness, the reduction of working hours and in defense of collective hiring.
