Shocking reports after Kononowicz’s death. There is an investigation
Krzysztof Kononowicz, known for the slogan « That there was nothing » and candidacy for president of Bialystok in 2006, He died on March 6, 2025 at the age of 62. In the last months of his life, he struggled with serious health problems, including untreated diabetes and antibiotic resistant pneumonia, which led to his hospitalization at the end of 2024. After deterioration of health, he was introduced into a pharmacological coma, and then transferred to the hospice, where he died despite the efforts of the doctors.
In the last years of his life, Kononowicz was a controversial figure related to the so -called « Patostreaming » and the « milky man » channel, where materials with his participation were published, often arousing ethical doubts. In 2022, his situation was interested in the editors of the « Case for the Reporter » program, where the topic of possible use of his person by the environment was raised.
The investigation into the abuse of Krzysztof Kononowicz is starting
According to Polish Radio Białystok, the prosecutor’s office received five notifications from people who claim that Kononowicz – due to his mental state – was a clumsy person and fell victim to abuse. The notifying ones indicate that he was humiliated, ridiculed, provoked to quarrels, and all this was recorded and published on the internet.
Investigators are looking at the materials posted on the popular online channel. – They could have showed that the victim fell victim to abuse from various people who at that time looked after him – says prosecutor Adam Baranowski.
He emphasizes that the investigation is not limited to people appearing in the materials. – We do not limit the subject of the proceedings only to them. It will be extensive proceedings and I do not rule out that the circle of entities may be extended that could be taken into account as the perpetrator of this act – he emphasizes.
For now, three out of five notifying have been questioned. In the next stages, investigators also plan to question other witnesses.
This is not the first procedure of this type. The previous investigation regarding the previous period was discontinued. Now, however, the prosecutor’s office is investigating the case again – this time based on new materials and applications.
The channel, on which films with Krzysztof Kononowicz were regularly published, declared that it was not about his ridicule. In the description you can read that advertising funds were to be allocated to food, medicines and bills. Critics, however, have no doubt – in their opinion, the content had a « pathological character » and used the image of a person unable to self -defense.
Storm after the words of the President of Bialystok after the death of Kononowicz
After the death of Krzysztof Kononowicz, the president of Bialystok, Tadeusz Truskolaski, published an entry in social media in which he called the deceased « tragic figure » and « a good man used by bad people. »
This entry caused a wave of criticism among Internet userswho accused the city authorities of Kononowicz in difficult moments of his life. The commentators asked why the city did not react to his situation, suggesting that appropriate actions could prevent its tragic end.
