Shock in Finland. The student published a « manifesto » and attacked at school
On Tuesday morning, the quiet town of Pirkkala in the suburbs of Tampere in southern Finland became an arena of dramatic events. In the school complex, one of the students attacked his peers with a knife.
As a result of the assault, three people were injured – as the police said, their lives are not threatened by danger. The perpetrator, who is also a student of this institution, was detained shortly after the attack – about half a kilometer from school.

According to investigative findings, the victims were wounded by a sharp tool. According to the media, the attacker – a student of the 9th grade – even before the attack published a disturbing « manifesto » on the internet, in which he announced that he would hurt the girls, and then he would give himself into the hands of the services.
The police have not yet commented on the content of this material or disclose detailed information on the identity of the perpetrator and victims.
The case caused a huge stir in Finland. Education Minister Anders Adlercreutz in the first comment said that he was deeply shocked by an attack. He also emphasized that every form of violence in schools deserves clear and firm condemnation.
