Turkish Grandmaster (VM) Ediz Grael (16) beats VM of France Maxim Vasher-Legran, while the International Master (I) of Argentina, Faustino Oro, 11, defeated the Czech Republic, David Navara, at the beginning of the World Team (SP). The MGD1 team headed by Indian VM Arjun Erigaisi is at the top of the table with a single perfect result of four wins after so many rounds of 12, after the favorites, led by French VM Aliresa Firusia, equal to Freedom’s team. Their duel ended 3-3.
52 teams consisting of six players participate in the Chess World Championship. Each team must have at least one female board and one « recreational player », with a rating of not exceeding 2,000 points, and the time control is 15 minutes plus 10 seconds for each move. The pace in fast chess is three minutes plus two seconds per player, and starts with teams that play first circular system in groups, before the first 16 continues after the knockout system, where each duel includes two mini-matches.

On the women’s board, European champion, Serbia’s Freedom’s Teodora Inac, rematched with former world champion Alexandra Kostenyuk. The total prize pool is 500,000 euros, of which 310,000 are intended for accelerated chess and 190,000 euros for fast chess.
