Tenor of Split HNK Sasa Jakelicwho won the Split Festival last year, is now returning to the festival for another vote. Recorded a duet « new roads » with Omis celebrate Gabriel Braicic which they say is new Zorica Kondza. Gabriela won the heart of the Croatian audience in 2020. When she sang on ‘Supertalent’, where she was her Janko Popovic Volaric He gave a gold button, and last year on ‘The Voice’. At the age of eight, Gabriela also competed in Mali Split, followed by other competitions such as ‘The Voice’, the Sibenik Chanson, as well as international performances of music festivals from Slovenia, Czech Republic, Serbia to Macedonia.
The talented young singer today gladly cooperates with cultural associations, societies and singers, so she gladly accepted Sasha’s invitation for a duet. Namely, Jakelić had been the song ‘held in the drawer’ for some time, waiting for the right moment to announce, which finally appeared last year in the character and voice of the young Gabi. The premiere of the powerful ballad ‘Novi Roads’, published last week, has gathered a large number of fans in the short term, which has a strong song, intended for all generations.
– I didn’t watch The Voice, otherwise I watch TV a little, but I first heard Gabi at the rehearsal of last year’s chansons in Šibenik. The dream is that the dream then talks to some people, and when I heard that voice, the dream immediately rises from the conversation and said – I have to hear this. Being a dream delighted with her voice and a strong emotion and told everyone – this little tread! Then we met through mutual friends and weighed the numbers. The song « New Roads » wrote a dream slowly and meticulously another year before that acquaintance, but it was not published by Nisan because she always dragged me to a duet, and the duet is not something forcibly forcibly. But that day the dream knows that Gabi is the other half. I suggested a dream of her collaboration and the rest is history – says last year’s double winner of the Festival on the Procutives and the author of the musical, text and arrangement, who has successfully built his solo career for years, and has recorded duets with the duets with Meri Cetinic, Goran Karana and Klapa Šufit.
After Gabriel’s consent, the song, he adds, recorded and finished very quickly.
– Voices and musical sensibility coincided perfectly. We recorded the shares of O’Kolp without updating. Gabriela Braicic, finalist of the show ‘The Voice’ and the winner of the first jury award at last year’s Sibenik chanson for the author’s song ‘On Your Cushion’, she enthusiastically accepted the collaboration:
– When he heard me on the Šibenik chanson, Sasha said I was the most singer he had ever heard. That impressed me a lot. A month after that, he let me a letter that ‘out of Naphthalene’. Imagino Storium, we found ourselves in the parking lot and he let me in the car. I listened to her with care, but it is easy to think of thinking when you have a person next to you who does not draw your tongue to your tooth like you. I could only agree with myself that he still loves to talk much more than me. But finally, I also exclaimed, as it says ‘The Rest is History’ – recalls the cordial Gabi of the beginning of the collaboration and recording of the song in just a couple of ‘Tays’ in Sasa’s home studio.
The shooting of an impressive video have left a creative and a friend Max Hozic (Also a tenor and singer who recently released the album), and on Gabriel’s proposal, since it is near her native stores, striking locations have been selected – a cat stone in the village of Ostrovica and Dugi Rat.
– These are a hill around which many roads are running, so this detail was also symbolic and connected to the title and theme of the song because ‘new roads’ bring a message of hope, speaking of the moments when life paths diverge, but leave the door open, uncertain but filled with hope. And since the arrangement is enriched with the sounds of the engine, motorcycles (Natasa Biljak (MK Jastrebovi), Sanja Vetnic, Tanja Milak, Darijo Braicic and Tomislav Tomas) are included – explains Sasha.

I do not know if I will miss my mother and chat, the season has not yet begun, but of course I will jump in here and there if she is a tribal – concludes the cordial Gabi.
