Slovenian hockey players entered the last week of preparations before leaving for the World Cup in Stockholm. There are three preparatory matches in front of the lynx, the first trees at 7 pm in Maribor with Denmark, then on Friday at Hungarians in Budapest and finally in Sweden with Kazakhstan. There were quite a few new faces in the selected row, we talked to one of the most promising, 20-year-old Mark Sever. At the upcoming championship in the European North, from May 9 to 25, he will not be among the lynxes, but he wants to be among them in a year when the championship is right in his Switzerland.
You play in Switzerland, one of the three or four countries in Europe with the biggest investment in hockey, packed full halls, outstanding national achievements in recent years.
The level is definitely higher than ours, there are many good players. I went to Switzerland a young, I was already there for the sixth season, so I played more hockey than in Slovenia. I really like it, it works very well with the younger selections, as you said, the halls are full, it is nice to play in such an atmosphere.
Did you get used to the famous Swiss preciousness?
A lot of money is circulating in this country. The standard is very decent, clearly, it is expensive, but at the same time, personal income is higher than elsewhere, so in the end everything equals.
