Several thousand Danes are missing money

Many students experienced an unexpected financial challenge when their SU for March was not paid out as planned on February 28.

An error in the payout system has hit 6,104 students who now have to wait for their money while the problem is being resolved.

The error specifically affects students who have a birthday on the 3rd of the months of June to December or the 4th of January and February. For them, this means an unexpected delay for a month in which fixed expenses such as rent and bills have to be paid.

The SU authorities work on high pressure to correct the error and get the money sent off as soon as possible. So far, however, there is no exact message about when the payment will take place.

For many students, the SU is a crucial part of the economy and a delay can have major consequences. During a period of increasing living costs and pressed economy, even a day's delay can cause concern among those affected.

Payment errors are rare, but when they occur, they hit hard, especially in a group where the budget is often tight. Students are encouraged to keep an eye on the SU authorities' announcements to get the latest information on when the money lands in the account.
