Manifesto

Just like Breivik, R. also wrote a manifesto, although his document only had a fifteen pages. « But his intentions and ideas were very clear, » said the federal public prosecutor’s office. « He wanted to found the ideal empire, where race is more important than religion. According to the court, the man had also forged concrete plans to commit a double attack. For example, he wanted to start a fire on a mosque and kill as many people as possible with an attack rifle. The federal public prosecutor finally decided to engage an undercover agent, with which Rune R. had a meeting in a parking lot in Opwijk and there was talk about the use of firearms.

The court tends heavily to the facts and sentenced young people in his twenties to an effective 3 -year prison sentence. The man himself had not been defined for the process. « The facts for which the defendant had to answer for a real danger to society and its citizens, » the judges said. « He sows hatred and division. »
