For four days, crews along the sandy, narrow, but fast -pavement paths in the northern Sardinia Island will have to complete a total of 16 special stages, which will form a 320.08 km athletic distance. The challenges of Rally Italia will take care of not only the abrasive road surface, which will make you pay close attention to the condition of the tires, but also the heat – until the end of the rally on Sunday in Sardinia, no precipitation is expected, with temperatures above 30 ° C.
The start in this heat, with a temperature in the rally car above 60 ° C, will have a thorough test for all crews. This will be even more difficult for the narrow stages that can turn every mistake into a moment at the end of the race. The crews will have to make every effort, although in such circumstances, no concentration will be lost for a while.
A total of 68 crews have confirmed participation in Rally Italia, Sardegna, which will have to deal with permanent rhythm changes during the rally. The 12 crews will start with the leading class Rally1 cars, 43 crews will have a Rally2 car at the disposal, and another 9 crews will start with the all -wheel drive Rally3 car. Meanwhile, a total of 4 crews applied for the front -wheel drive Rally4 or Rally5 car racing.
