Seska crew ninth place in WRC Portuguese rally eighth stages / day
The Seska crew, which starts with the Ford Puma Rally1, prepared by the M-Sport Ford during this WRC season, made the 14.41-kilometer stage in eight minutes and 55.2 seconds.
In the eight -stage stage, Belgian Tieri Neville (« Hyundai Shell Mobis »), who finished in eight minutes and 41.4 seconds.
Second place was taken by Finn Kalle Rovanpere (« Toyota Gazoo »), who was 0.5 seconds behind Neville, and third place – Japanese Takahumo Katuta (« Toyota Gazoo »), which was 1.9 seconds slower than Neville.
The Latvian crew lost 13.8 seconds to Neville.
In the outset, Frenchman Adrian Furmo (« Hyundai Shell Mobis ») remained in the stage.
The leader of the stage after eight stages is Estonian Ots Tenaks (« Hyundai Shell Mobis »), who overtook Katcuta by 3.5 seconds and 3.9 seconds – Frenchman Sebastien Ogeje (« Toyota Gazoo »). The Latvian crew is seven minutes and 39.4 seconds behind the leader.
It has already been reported that in the second stage, the Latvian crew pierced the tire at the beginning of the distance and was more than three minutes behind the best result.
Ten stages are taking place on Friday, on Saturday, crews will run one sprint and six stages, but on Sunday there will be six more stages. On Saturday, the stages will start at 9.35 and on Sunday at 8.43, with live competitions on Go3 Sport 1.
After four rounds, Toyota Gazoo’s British pilot Elfin Evans is in the lead with 109 points, 66 points for Finn Kallem Rovanperem (Toyota Gazoo) and 59 points for Belgian Trier Neville (Hyundai Shell Mobis). Seska ranks tenth with eight points.
For the Latvian crew, this is the second of six stages scheduled for this season. In the second stage of the WRC, the Latvian crew finished in sixth place in the Swedish rally.
Seska’s crew debuted the WRC last season, starting in three stages. In the Polish rally, Latvians were fifth, in the first stage of the WRC in Latvia in July – seventh, losing his place on the podium in the last stage, but in the Chilean rally after the emergency, the race was continued for training purposes.
There are 14 stages in the WRC season 2025, with motor racing players competing in Estonia in mid -July.
Last season, Belgian Tieri Neville became the champion.
