Seska crew in the last three stages of the day fails to get into the top ten / day
The Seska crew, which starts with the Ford Puma Rally1, prepared by the M-Sport Ford during this WRC season, pierced the tire in the first stage of the day, saying goodbye to the chances of achieving a high-quality result. In the seventh stage, the Latvian crew received a three -minute penalty for delaying the start, but in the ninth stage crashed into the ground.
In the fifth, sixth and eighth stages, the Latvians showed the score of the top ten. In the ninth stage, the Latvian crew had a 17th score, but in the last two rounds of the day – 11th place.
After about 150 kilometers on the gravel roads, the leader is Estonian Ots Tenaks (« Hyundai Shell Mobis »), who overtook Frenchman Sebastien Ogie (« Toyota Gazoo » by seven seconds. Among the two Toyota riders Ogeier and Japanese Takamoto Katututu now have 20.1 seconds, another 1.2 seconds behind Finn Kalle Rovanpere, who loses 4.4 seconds to Belgian Trier Neville.
The Seska crew is almost nine minutes behind and is out of the top 20.
On Saturday, crews will make one sprint and six stages, but there will be six more stages on Sunday. On Saturday, the stages will start at 9.35 and on Sunday at 8.43, with live competitions on Go3 Sport 1.
After four rounds, Toyota Gazoo’s British pilot Elfin Evans is in the lead with 109 points, 66 points for Finn Kallem Rovanperem (Toyota Gazoo) and 59 points for Belgian Trier Neville (Hyundai Shell Mobis). Seska ranks tenth with eight points.
For the Latvian crew, this is the second of six stages scheduled for this season. In the second stage of the WRC, the Latvian crew finished in sixth place in the Swedish rally.
Seska’s crew debuted the WRC last season, starting in three stages. In the Polish rally, Latvians were fifth, in the first stage of the WRC in Latvia in July – seventh, losing his place on the podium in the last stage, but in the Chilean rally after the emergency, the race was continued for training purposes.
There are 14 stages in the WRC season 2025, with motor racing players competing in Estonia in mid -July.
Last season, Belgian Tieri Neville became the champion.
