Services for about 5,000 inhabitants of Josif Pashko Street
A new health center has been opened for Unit 11 residents in Lapraka, a collaboration of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection with the Catholic Church.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Kociu accompanied by the director of OSHKSH, Jeta Deda and the Regional Director of OSHKSH Tirana, Lawrence Hashorva, saw the new premises of this center on « Josif Pashko » street where they can get faster and more accessible health services about 5,000 inhabitants of this area.
With the opening of the new center, citizens will be able to receive health services only 3 minutes away from their homes without having to go to the Socio-Health Center No.7 in Lapraka. Minister Kociu emphasized that « this center shortens the distance of obtaining health services for the residents of the Ring Road » and underlined that « this structure will also provide socially added services ».
She praised the cooperation with the Catholic Church who enabled the building to be made available. « This opportunity you gave us to serve 5,000 citizens who receive service at this newly open point is a fantastic opportunity. A thank you to you who made it possible because it really serves the entire community, » said the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Kociu.
Whereas the Regional Director of Tirana, Lawrence Hashorva, explained that « this center will provide the family doctor’s service for all age groups, performing basic medical examinations, injections and vaccines ». On the other hand, this center will not only enable dedicated socio-health services, but will also affect the reduction of flow at the Socio-Health Center No. 7 in Lapraka further enhancing the quality of service for citizens.
