People’s deputies at the meeting of the « Servant of the People » faction on June 17 supported the candidacy of the head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko for the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine. Kravchenko’s appointment was also approved by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement.

Details: Several deputies from the « servant of the people » point out that during the meeting of the faction unanimously approved Kravchenko’s candidacy for the post of prosecutor General.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement also supported the appointment of the current head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine to the post of head of OGP. According to the members of the Committee Andriy Osadchuk and Yulia Yatsyk, 15 people’s people’s deputies voted « for », two abstained.

The Verkhovna Rada will vote for consent to the appointment of the Prosecutor General on June 17.

Reference: 35-year-old Ruslan Kravchenko is a native of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. Since 2024 he held the position of head of the State Tax Service.

He was the chairman of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (from 2023 to 2024). He headed the Buchan District Prosecutor’s Office since 2021.

Previously worked as a military prosecutor during Anatoly Matios. In 2019-2020, he filed a SAP prosecutor, then participated in the competition for the post of NABU head. He was awarded the Order of Merit III degree (August 23, 2022).

Kravchenko was a prosecutor in a case where Yanukovych was found guilty of treason and awards in war.
