The worker who fell last week in a waste pit on the Brussels Energie site died, reports the Brussels labor auditorate. The precise circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
The man was seriously injured a week ago on the site of a subsidiary of Net Brussel, who is located along the canal. There is a combustion installation for energy recovery at that location.
Psychological assistance
The worker – a staff member of a subcontractor who worked in the context of the pre -treatment operations that were used to tackle the problem with the laughing gas bottles – was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, but has since died of his injuries.
Brussels Energie has heard that with grief. The entire Brussels cleanliness group, including its subsidiary Brussels Energie, transmit their sincere participation to the family of the victim and repeat their support to all workers and employees on the site.
Relationships suspended
After an investigation by his external service for prevention and protection at work, Brussels Energie has since learned that a series of shortcomings was established. The contractual relationships with the supplier concerned were then suspended with immediate effect.
Brussels Energie works completely with the competent authorities to facilitate current investigation. To support the employees of the site and to guarantee their well -being, a cell for psychological support for all employees has been set up, in particular for those who were directly affected by this accident.
