Serbia and Bosnia rejected the final statement

President Bajram Begaj, at the conclusion of the Summit of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP), stated that the Tirana statement was not adopted by all participating states. According to him, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina did not vote for the final document. « It was a statement by Tirana. It was definitely voted by most SEECP member states. It was rejected by Serbia and Bosnia, which have their right not to approve the joint statement, » said Begaj.

For Kosovo, Begaj said, that, « We agreed that the issue of sanctions imposed on Kosovo is an issue that I have stated in all my public appearances, which is an unfair issue, an issue that had to be resolved long before and tomorrow is too late, because sanctions are not decided on Kosovar politicians, sanctions are set for Kosovo citizens to have those good public services. »

Regarding Serbia’s claims, Begaj said that « Belgrade and Sarajevo had their claims of security related issues. I think security is not only inside our home. Security is a more widespread term and definition and what happens in the world today is a danger to stability not only where it happens, but to all countries of the world. » The SEECP summit was held today in Tirana, led by President Begaj, with the participation of the region’s leaders.
