Can a watch save lives? In Czerwonak they already know that yes. All thanks to the Teleopieka band, i.e. the electronic health guard, who can be your personal guardian angel – 24 hours a day.
This is not a gadget from science fiction movies, but real help for seniors as part of the « Wielkopolskie Telecentrum of Care » project, financed from EU funds.
Put on a watch that saves life. The municipality distributes them for free
The band can get for free every person over 60, living in the Czerwonak commune, who does not have such a device yet.
What can this small band? More than many home first aid kit. It is equipped with In:
- SOS button – one click and services know that you need to act,
- geolocation – thanks to it you can quickly locate a person in need,
- Fall sensor – the device will recognize that something is wrong
- heart rate and saturation sensors – like a mini health monitoring center,
- Crimeter and clock – it is known that movement is health, but it’s good to know how many steps you’ve done.
Importantly, the band is resistant to moisture and dirt, so you can wear it even in the shower. Not only that – seniors can use it around the clock, without removal.
How to get a « life band »? It’s really simple. Enough:
- go to the Commune Office in Czerwonak (ul. Dudz 39, room 6),
- fill out the recruitment form (also available online),
- Arrange yourself in a moment of patience – and it’s ready!
