Senator shot in the head in a critical condition
At the pre -election event in the Colombian capital of Bogot, they fired on Saturday at the presidential candidate Miguela Uribe Turbayka. He was shot three times, twice in the head. His condition is critical, foreign news agencies reported. Police arrested a 15-year-old suspect at the scene of the attack.
The attack on the 39-year-old Senator Uribe occurred when he addressed a small group of people at a pre-election event in Bogota on Saturday. The attacker shot him twice in his head and once into his knee.
Uribe was transported to the hospital by helicopter. According to the French news agency AFP, confirmed at the Santa Fe Clinic in Bogota, his condition is critical.
Politik’s wife posted on his social media account that her husband is fighting for life at the moment.
Police arrested a 15-year-old suspect at the scene of the attack and seized firearms. According to the police, the 15-year-old was injured in the altercation with police officers and was transported to the hospital.
Two more people were injured in the incident.

The motive for the attack is not yet known. Colombian Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez offered a cash prize for information about who is behind the shooting.
Uribe’s party Democratic Center condemned the attack and stressed that it threatened democracy and freedom in Colombia. The presidential elections are foreseen in Colombia for the coming year.
