Jolanta Bagdonienė, a judge of the Vilnius Regional Court of Vilnius District Court, disappeared from him, until last year, for two terms of December, that is, the former chairman of the Vilnius Regional District Court. It was considered to be the largest competitor to lead Arūnas Purvainis, who is seeking the Kaunas District Court for a second term.

However, why the present commission hearing was not announced in the same way, only Vija Kudzienė, who performs the functions of the head of the National Courts Administration’s Communication Division, was not reported to the portal Kauno. diena.lt.

As already written, A. Purvainis was dismissed by the President’s decree signed in mid -January, after the appointment of the President of the Kaunas District Court, at the end of the appointment. However, he has the right to nominate this position again because he has held them only one term. And did not withdraw its candidacy even after the decision of the Judicial Council to approve the conclusion of a specially formed commission regarding the alleged violations of the Code of Ethics for him, which led to the decision to apply to the Judicial Ethics and Disciplinary Commission for disciplinary action.

By the way, the said meeting of the Judicial Council took place on the same day that the list of candidates was officially announced in the selection of the Kaunas District Court President. Of course, this meeting was planned earlier.

However, it was known in advance and before the list should be compiled. And last Friday, that is, the meeting of the Judicial Ethics and Discipline Commission took place on the eve of the said selection on the eve of the selection. However, after the submission of additional documents, Purvainis has already been written, the decision to open the disciplinary proceedings was postponed for almost a month – until May 22.

Before becoming a judge, he worked for more than three years at the Alytus Correctional House Investigation Service, after which he was a prosecutor for more than seven years.
