See where you put the stamp so you don’t lose

The voters who will be presented at the ballot box at the first round of the presidential elections must put the stamp on one of the 11 candidates who want to hold the highest position in the state.

The valid vote expressed is when the stamp with the « voted » mention:
* is applied inside a single quadrilateral;
* exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral, without reaching another quadrilateral, and the voter’s option is obvious;
* has been applied several times in the same quadrilateral;
* has been applied several times, both in a quadrilateral and outside any other quadrilateral;
* It is applied inside a quadrilateral, but various mentions of the voter are inscribed on the ballot (the vote is considered valid regardless of the mentions registered on the ballot).

At the same time, the vote is also valid when expressed in the legal conditions, but the bulletin was introduced by the voter in a ballot other than the one corresponding to the poll for which it is used.

The vote exercised at the polling station in the country or abroad is validly expressed also in the situation in which the cough is printed on the other interior page as a result of the folding bulletin bearing the Tatov and/or the cough has also been printed/transferred on the verso of the sheet where the patrol is applied to the «  »

They are considered void and do not come into the calculation of validly expressed votes:

* The ballot on which the control stamp of the electoral bureau of the polling station was not applied, until it was handed to the voter. The application of the control stamp on another page or pages other than the last page of the bulletin does not attract the vote expressed through the respective bulletin;

* ballots that have a model other than the legal approved one;

* ballots on which the stamp with the « voted » mention was not applied;

* The ballot bulletins to which the stamp with the « voted » stamp is applied on several quadles or outside them, including one of the impressions of a stamp has been cut holograph or there are holographs only regarding the validity of one of them;

* The stamp with the « voted » mention exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral and reaches another quadrilateral;

* The ballot bulletins on which a stamp with the « voted » mention has been applied that has a model other than the legal approved one.

Regarding the vote exercised by correspondence, it is validly expressed when the sticker with the « voted » corresponding to the poll tour:

* is applied inside a single quadrilateral;

* exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral, without reaching another quadrilateral, and the voter’s option is obvious;

* It is applied inside a quadrilateral, but various mentions of the voter are inscribed on the ballot (the vote is considered valid regardless of the mentions registered on the ballot) or other stickers are applied other than the legal model approved for the respective round.

The vote exercised by correspondence is also validly expressed in the situation in which the ballot discharged by the voter by correspondence, according to the law, contains only the page on which its option was expressed by sticking the sticker with the mention « voted ».

The voting bulletins by correspondence do not wear the control stamp of an electoral office.

In the case of the vote exercised by correspondence, they are considered void and do not enter the calculation of the validly expressed votes:

*** The ballots on which the sticker with the « voted » mention was not applied;

*** The voting bulletins at which the sticker with the « voted » mentioned corresponding to the poll tour is applied on several quadrilaterals or outside them, including in the case where the sticker has been cut/relocated or there are holographs regarding its validity;

*** The sticker with the « voted » mention exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral and reaches another quadrilateral;

*** The ballot on which a sticker with the « voted » mention has been applied has a model other than the legal approved for the respective poll;

*** The sticker with the « voted » mention has a model other than the legal approved one.

If in the same interior envelope two or more ballots of the same kind (corresponding to the same poll round) were introduced, they are declared void by decision of the electoral bureau of the voting section abroad that fulfills the duties provided by law for the electoral bureau for the correspondence, the BEC states.

If both interior envelope were introduced both ballots corresponding to each election for the President of Romania, only the ballot corresponding to the respective voting tour will be taken into account for centralizing the results, the other ballot being annulled by decision of the electoral bureau, to be delivered, after the office or the office. 48 for the polling stations abroad (BESVS 48), as the case may be.

At the same time, in the case of the vote exercised by correspondence, the following exterior or interior envelopes are null:
* the external envelope that does not contain the voter certificate;
* the outer envelope that does not contain other envelopes or documents;
* the interior envelope that does not contain any ballot;
* The external and/or interior envelope that has ruptures or degradation of a nature to affect the integrity of the bulletin.

The exterior envelopes delivered after the expiration of the legal term are canceled by decision of the electoral bureau of the voting section abroad that fulfills the attributions provided by law for the electoral bureau for the correspondence vote.

If on the ballot the voter draws a quadrilateral in which the name and surname of a person, real or fictitious, other than the 11 validates of the bulb, that person will not be registered in the minutes drawn up for recording the results, according to AEP.

Drawing that border on the ballot does not offer the possibility of counting the votes for the person thus added.

« Expressing the vote for the real or fictitious person inscribed in the quadrilateral drawn by the voter on the ballot, by applying the stamp with the ‘voted’ mention in the respective quadrilateral, does not represent a valid vote expressed for the respective person.
