Secretary remains in cell for murder of wife of Goodyear CEO (inland)

Greet V., the private secretary of the CEO Middle East, Africa and Europe of tire manufacturer Goodyear who is suspected of the murder of her employer’s wife, appeared before the Brussels council chamber on Tuesday. He has extended her provisional detention by a month. The woman was arrested on April 4 and suspected a day later and placed under arrest warrant.
In mid-March, the police for a suspicious death in the Brussels municipality of Sint-Pieters-Woluwe. The CEO Middle East, Africa and Europe of tire manufacturer Goodyear called the order services after he had found his wife Carmel D. lifeless in their apartment. According to the Brussels public prosecutor, the victim’s autopsy showed that she had four injuries in the breast and abdominal area, caused by a stump or sharp object. Three luxury watches were also stolen.
The murder only came to light at the end of March and a few days later, on April 4, the private secretary of the CEO of her freedom was robbed in a search in her home in Steenokkerzeel. The investigating judge put her a day later, on Saturday 5 April in suspicion for murder and wearing an object used as a weapon.
According to various media, Greet V. would have talked to himself at the gallows. After all, she would suddenly have asked one of her girlfriends « strange questions » « about committing murders », to finally confess what she had done. The girlfriend would have gone to the police.
