Second suspect of attempted murder in Braga workshop delivered to court

The second suspect of the attempted murder at a car workshop in Adaúfe, Braga district, in February, and whose whereabouts were unknown, surrendered on Thursday at the Guimarães Court.

The now detained is the son of the other suspect, however detained by this police in early April, and after first judicial interrogation was in custody.

The crime occurred in the early afternoon of February 21, at the facilities of the said workshop, following the refusal of the victim, a 54 -year -old man, to notice the vehicle belonging to both suspects.

« Not accepting such refusal, father and son assaulted the victim violently, first using a wooden club and in the continuity of aggression with a white weapon and a brick, » the PJ reports in a statement.

The victim suffered a corted perforant drilling in the abdominal zone, which resulted in serious injuries that put their lives at risk. The case just did not have a more serious outcome « thanks to immediate medical help. »

The victim was transported to Braga Hospital, having been subject to urgent surgical intervention, having been hospitalized for a few days.

« After the facts both suspects were fled, coming the first detention to occur last April 2, » recalls PJ.

The second suspect, so far, with an unknown whereabouts, presented himself yesterday at the Guimarães Court, where he was complied with the arrest warrant out of flagrant offense that prevented him.

Present the first judicial interrogation was applied to the measure of coercion of pre-trial detention.
