A new round of direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will be held at the Ulregan Palace in Istanbul tomorrow at 1 pm (local time). The new middle -rate between the Russian and Ukrainian delegation is at the request of Moscow.

As with the first negotiations, the Russian delegation is led by Russian President’s assistant Vladimir Medinsky and Ukrainian by Defense Minister Rustem Scarov.

The first direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, since the beginning of the war, were held on May 16 in Istanbul, which agreed to exchange « 1,000 for 1,000 ».

According to Russian media, Moscow will present a memorandum on the future peace agreement, which includes all aspects of resolving the reasons for the conflict.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced last week that the end of the war in Ukraine is seeking written guarantees from the larger European countries that its five conditions will be met – promise that NATO will not spread to the east; Ukraine to be a neutral state; Abolition of some of the Western sanctions; Resolving the issue of frozen Russian property; Protecting people speaking Russian in Ukraine.

While the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, announced today that a Ukrainian delegation will attend talks in Istanbul, he pointed out the Ukrainian conditions. They are: complete and unconditional ceasefire; Release of prisoners; Return of kidnapped children; And preparation for a meeting at the presidential level.

Negotiations in Istanbul seem to continue despite today’s attacks.

Russian forces this morning carried out a missile attack on a Ukrainian soldiers’ training center that killed 12 people and injured more than 60. The attack came just hours after Russian forces carried out a major air strike on the Kiev region, launching 472 drones and seven rockets.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) today carried out a major secret operation under the code name « Network » with drones attacking four key Russian military air bases: Belaya in the Irkut area, Olinja in Murmansk, Dyagilev in Ryazan and Ivanovo. More than 40 Russian warplanes, including long-range Tu-95 and Tu-22M3 bombers, were damaged or destroyed, as well as an early warning and oversight aircraft A-50.
