Second protest of the citizens of Kicevo over the failure of the problem of wild city landfill

Unlike the first protest held three weeks ago, the second protest was attended by a large number of citizens who confirmed that with their presence that the biggest problem for the citizens of Kicevo is the illegal landfill and the great air pollution. The crowd appealed to the mayor and councilors why none of them were encouraged to be part of this civil protest, which has no political ethnic background. Bojan Miskoski addressed the gathering.

– Dear Kichevo residents once again thank you for coming out with us for a second peaceful protest that had to happen. It had to happen because we did not receive a concrete response to our requests from the Mayor and the responsible institutions. Namely, after the first protest except for one sentence by the mayor addressed to us through one of the media, we did not even promise to solve this problem. Mayor, and to realize the opening of the regional landfill in Novaci, we will again need a movement station and that I am afraid that this landfill will remain. The stench will remain, the citizens will cheer again and there is nothing to change. This must not remain this way – Miskoski said and addressed the mayor again.

– Don’t cause us and start finding a concrete solution to this problem, before we start taking more serious steps. As we all know, the days come when our expatriates return to their hometown, and whether we will also need to show them how you treat your permanent citizens, so you will need to spread trash and stench across several locations throughout the city. Do they need to be aware that they came to vote for you in the upcoming local elections – said Miskoski.

Citizens present were resentful of the local government’s inert attitude towards this problem.

– I do not know why none of our councilors have been able to attend this gathering and hear the problems that affect them. Should we scatter Deskero through the city streets, and then remember that this problem must be solved once and for all – recalled Saso Dimitrievski, one of the many citizens present at the protest.
