Second External Examination by State Matura, most reported for the English language test
Graduates will take the second external exam from the state high school exam today. According to the data of the State Examination Center (DIC), most reported for the English language test (13 457 students).
1246 students have applied for the math test, 73 will take German, 24 – French, 62 – aesthetics. There are seven candidates for the philosophy test, four for Russian language and three for Italian.
The first external exam, mandatory for all students, native language (Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Serbian) and literature, was taken on May 31.
According to DIC data, 9969 high school graduates were reported for Macedonian, 4339 for Albanian language, 292 for Turkish language and 10 students for the Serbian language test.
According to the Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska two days after the exam, dozens of students were removed from the passage as they tried to copy from the phone, assessing that it was a significantly reduced number of the previous year.
-The process has not yet been completed, but the number of students who prescribed has been significantly reduced. Since they were removed last year, I think there is progress and I expect it to be better and better every year – said Janevska.
Due to strengthened control measures, he said, he expects the number to be even lower at taking the second external exam. He appealed to the testers to « do not turn out of irregularities » and not to try to prescribe and « deceive the system because they risk losing a whole year of life – to enter the labor market or continue their education ».
For overseeing the examination process, DIC also hires about 2000 testators this year. Exams are taken in schools if they meet the conditions in accordance with the Rulebook on organizing state high school graduation, and for students of schools that do not have such conditions, the passing is in the amphitheaters of the faculties.
15 004 candidates have been reported this year. Of these, 8816 students are from vocational high schools, 5966 gymnasiums and 222 of art schools.
High school graduates who will not pass the state high school graduation in June will be able to take the August session – on August 12th is the mother tongue (Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Serbian) and literature, and on August 14, the election external language, English language, English language,.
