Search for the body of murdered Heidi de Schepper (26) does not yield anything (bales) for the time being
The search for the body of Heidi De Schepper has not yet yielded anything. Today the industrial estate of the Poeierstraat in Balen was searched, but without result. On Friday, part of the site was also excavated. The search will continue tomorrow.
This morning the civil protection arrived at 9 am to resume the search for the body of Heidi de Schepper. The team of victim identification of the federal police and the missing persons cell also arrived. The search was stopped on Saturday around 5 pm. Unfortunately without result. The search will be continued tomorrow.
On Friday there was a breakthrough in the case to Heidi de Schepper. One day earlier, the police already picked up three suspects, including Nick M., the then former partner of Heidi and his friend Nick Geys. The latter acquainted the murder during his interrogation and indicated the location where the body would be buried. The search was stopped at 4.30 pm without results, but continues today.
In 2013, Geys was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the murder of a comrade, which he brought in with an ax in 2011. The murder of the Creator would therefore have happened before that. Geys was released early a few years ago.
