SDEK launches B2B sales of goods from China

Against the backdrop of an interest in wholesale trade in goods from China, more and more Russian companies begin to launch their own services for entrepreneurs. For example, CDEK.SHOPPING was received, planning to launch a separate project for cross -border trade for legal entities in partnership with the JOOMPRO platform.

The delivery service of goods from abroad CDEK.Shopping told Kommersant about the launch of B2B sales, which will allow Russian companies to make wholesale purchases directly from Asian suppliers. The project will allow the operator not only to enter the new market, but also to increase by the end of 2025 the total volume of orders from abroad by 15–20%. In 2024, the turnover of imported orders for CDEK.Shopping amounted to almost 4.8 billion rubles, which is more than 30.1% of the year, Kommersant was told in the company itself.

The company will develop a direction in partnership with marketplace for Joompro corporate customers, who are engaged in wholesale purchases from China.

According to Evgeny Sholchev, the founder of the Sholchev consulting agency, in 2024 the number of orders of goods made by Russian entrepreneurs in China increased by 60% of the year by the year. Delivery operators began to launch various services for supplying orders from China for entrepreneurs, since there is a high growth dynamics in this segment, according to Olga Sumishevskaya, partner of the One Story consulting company. According to her, the B2B segment of the Russian baptist market in 2024 increased by more than 30% of the year, B2C by about 20%.

At the SDEK itself, the delivery of commercial goods is in demand. Competition in the wholesale procurement market among foreign manufacturers is intensified, according to Julia Schlenskaya, president of the KBT customs and logistics broker. The number of transport companies involved in the selection of a supplier in another country, including in China, conclusion of contracts, delivery and customs clearance of goods, is growing every year at a higher rate. Only customs representatives, who, as a rule, take the transport expedition to themselves, more than 1 thousand, adds Ms. Shlenskaya.

In the register of the Federal Customs Service, on April 18, there are more than 1.4 thousand such representatives. Mrs. Shlenskaya also notes that for SDEK this direction is not profile and is specific, including from the point of view of the documentation, inspection and the cost of the cargo itself.

For this reason, the expert believes, to assess the success of the direction of the direction at the moment is quite difficult.

In the cross -border trade market, CDEK.Shopping ranks fourth after AliExpress, Ozon and Wildberries. The share of CDEK.SHOPPing in 2024 did not show noticeable growth, unlike competitors whose business grew, including due to active investments in the delivery segment from abroad, analysts say.

According to experts, the growth in the turnover of cross -border trade, according to the results of 2024, reached 330 billion rubles, which is more than 4.7% a year by the year. But such a trade accounts for only 3% of the total turnover of the entire E-Commerce market, the Association of Internet trade companies note. In January-February 2025, the volume of Internet trade amounted to 1.7 trillion rubles, which was 34% more than a year by the year, 49 billion rubles from this amount for cross-border trade, or 2.9% of the total market.
