Scratch at a carrefour store

Fine of 25,000 lei for Carrefour Sun Plaza Bucharest, after finding that more products had smaller quantities than declared.
ANPC announced that, following a control carried out on February 20 at the Economic Operator Romania Hypermarche SA – Carrefour Sun Plaza, the commissioners discovered significant deviations from the legal regulations regarding the net mass.
« Within the action, products were taken to determine the declared net quantity. The analyzes carried out by the Larex accredited laboratory have shown that several products distributed by Carrefour Romania SA do not comply with the requirements stipulated in GD 530/2001, which regulates tolerable errors, ”the ANPC said in a press release.
According to ANPC, the products targeted are:
· Higher wheat flour 000 – classic (1000g) – determined value: 982.12g
· White wheat flour 650 – simple (1000g) – determined value: 968.34g
White wheat flour 650 – classic (1000g) – determined value: 981,88g
· Higher wheat flour 000 – classic (2000g) – determined value: 1932.78g
ANPC said that these significant differences exceed the tolerable error limits provided by the legislation in force. According to the norms, the admitted negative deviation is 15g for products between 500 and 1000g and 30g for those between 1000 and 1000g.
Also, the selected Bob Rice Deroni, distributed by International Trading SRL areas, was declared non-compliant with the quality requirements provided by the standard SR 1226-2007. To this product:
· The percentage of cracks was determined at 25.25%, exceeding the legal limit of 20%.
· The small cracks represented 3.25% of the quantity.
As a result of these irregularities, ANPC sanctioned the economic operator with a fine of 25,000 lei and ordered the withdrawal from the marketing of the products that do not meet the prescribed and declared characteristics.
