School Agreement for Football Tennis – Cyprus Newspaper

Şevket Songur, President of the Football Tennis Federation, signed an important initiative in order to bring young people to sports and to spread football tennis in schools.

Songur met with the 19 May Turkish Maarif College (TMK) in Kyrenia region and held negotiations on a cooperation protocol between both the federation and the school.
During the talks, May 19 TMK was decided to be a pilot school for football tennis branch in Kyrenia region. With this cooperation, football tennis training will be given at the school, students will learn this sport both theoretically and practically.

Şevket Songur, President of the Federation, said in a statement: “Football tennis, a sport that supports both fun and physical development for our young people. Our aim is to expand this sport throughout the country and to introduce young people to this branch in cooperation with educational institutions. We aim to maintain this step with the schools in other regions.

Within the scope of the protocol, the necessary trainings will be given to school teachers by the Football Tennis Federation and tournaments will be organized for students. Thus, football tennis will have an active place in school sports
