The Minister of Culture, Natalia-Elena Intotero, ordered the ministry’s control body to the National Museum on Tuesday Brukenthal from Sibiu, as a result of the organization of a private event inside the museum institution. On June 7, a concert was organized at the History Museum Casa Altemberger, attended by Andrew Tate, accused of pimping and trafficking in the United Kingdom and in Romania.

At the level of the Ministry of Culture there was no prior information regarding the organization of this event within the museum, it is stated in a statement of the ministry.

« The Ministry of Culture deals with maximum seriousness any situation that can affect the integrity of the national cultural heritage and reiterates its commitment for transparency and responsibility in the administration of subordinate institutions, » the institution announces.

The results of the checks carried out by the control body will be communicated publicly as soon as the mission is completed.

Alexandru Chituţă, the former interim director of the Brukenthal National Museum, is the one who concluded the contract for this event.

He justified the event on his Facebook page: « More than 10 years ago in Italy, in Rome, such concerts were organized in all museums. Today they happen in the big museums throughout the world. In us organizing such events is » song « . Sometimes we believe ourselves smarter. «
