A woman from Geel fell victim to scam in which the criminals used the combination of both stories. « First a false police officer came to the door and the ignorant victim gave jewelry to that, » says the police. « Afterwards, a woman called who presented herself as a bank employee to pick up the bank cards, after which all the money from the bills was looted. The total disadvantage rises to 100,000 euros. » According to the police, the victims are often only elderly people who are not sufficiently aware of these practices.
