Employees of the Narva Hospital just at that time received a message from the administration that you need to be vigilant. “There were reports of cases of fraud in which unknown persons, introducing themselves to social workers, penetrate patients and, under various pretexts, are trying to get documents from them and, possibly, cash. In some cases, attackers can be dressed in a medical form to cause less suspicion,” said this official message.
“We can assure that in our hospital, such cases are considered with complete seriousness, and the entire territory of the institution is under video surveillance,” Lenno added. “Nevertheless, upon receipt of information with a great delay, checking circumstances and taking the necessary measures becomes significantly difficult.”
According to a member of the board of the Narva Hospital, if additional information subsequently appears, he will make every effort to contact law enforcement, if necessary.
The police department and border guard replied that information about this particular case did not receive them. They also added a request to report such cases in a timely manner, so that there was an opportunity to find scammers trying to deceive people.
In the continuation of the posted post, the author, Tatyana Yulinskaya, wrote that after the mother’s discharge from the hospital, they went to the social department together, in which they were told that workers did not go to hospitals. “Talk to your parents, with relatives, warn,” Tatyana wrote an appeal to all members of the group.
