Says Inga Vega to his honor

Ársæl Guðmundsson, principal of Borgarholtsskóli, says it is very uncomfortable how Inga Zealand, Minister of Social Affairs and Housing, has weighed in his job by publicly asking whether he has been guilty of confidentiality.

Inga, who is Minister of Social Affairs and Housing, has said that she did not push the police within her call with Ársæl.

Ársæl, on the other hand, says that Inga must be responsible for his words, but that he does not intend to comment on the content of the call.

This is stated in a conversation with Ársæl with mbl.is about Inga’s latest comments.

« I felt very sorry to see the minister weighing my work. I found it uncomfortable, » says Ársæl in a conversation with mbl.is.

Don’t comment on the call publicly

In a conversation with the Consultation, Inga asked if Ársæl had violated confidentiality in connection with her conversation with Ársæl.

« I have not commented on this call or this issue and have chosen not to.

According to sources mbl.is, the schoolmaster talked about the call he had with Inga with employees, but Ársæl himself has never publicly commented on the call.

Inga should have pointed out the schoolteacher to her position in the community and her conflicts in the police because of her lost grandson.

In a conversation with mbl.is, Ársæl reiterates that he does not intend to publicly comment on the content of the call.

Inga Zealand should have mentioned input within the police. She rejects it, but Ársæl says that Inga has to be responsible for her words.

Talked to employees about the call

Inga said in an interview on the Consultation that the schoolteacher should not have commented on the conversation between them.

« But have the media ever been looking at whether this excellent principal broke confidentiality towards the student? » Inga asked.

But she seems to be referring to the fact that you should have discussed this call with the school staff. Isn’t that right?

« It is quite clear, no matter if it is this matter or something else, if I start asking people to do one thing or another then employees know of all matters. Whether it is this matter or something else. All issues are discussed and taken up and tried to settle.

I don’t know who it is, it’s not me anyway. So I feel very sorry – I have 150 employees – that someone has been commenting on the issues of guardians or students. It should not do it and I do not and staff should not do it either, ”says Ársæl.

« She just has to be responsible for her words«

Although Ársæl has never publicly commented on the contents of the call, Inga has publicly stated that she did not push the police with police in her conversation with Ársæl.

« She just has to be responsible for her words, » says Ársæl, but does not want to answer whether Inga has mentioned the police in this multifaceted call.

« I have been in this for forty years. Worked for the interests of children and young people and this seems very uncomfortable to hear, » says Ársæl about Inga’s rhetoric.
