Saving for the steel mill in Dudelingen wanted

Liberty Steel took over the location together with the sister company in Belgium from Arcelormittal. First Dudelingen was supplied with preliminary products from Belgium, then – in the meantime Liberty Steel has come into financial difficulties – this should happen from Romania. Even if the work in 2021 was shut down by the ITM due to security defects, the employees still received their wages from Liberty Steel until bankruptcy was carried out by the end of last year. In Luxembourg, Liberty Steel has bank debt over around 28 million euros.
The work is the only one in Europe that specializes in the coating of steel with Aluzinc, a alloy made of aluminum, zinc and silicon. This coating offers corrosion resistance. Such steel elements are mainly used in the construction industry, such as facades and roofs, as well as in the electrical and automotive industry.
