Sarafov requested the immunity of four Renaissance MPs because of the riots

Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov has brought to parliament a claim for the overthrow of Ivaylo Chorbov, Yordan Todorov, Nikola Dimitrov and Slavcho Krumov from the Vazrajdane Party. He wants the Central Election Committee with the removal of the immunity of Petar Ananiev, who is a candidate for mayor of the Oborishte metropolitan area, the prosecutor's press center announced.

Today, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov has announced that his deputies will give up their immunity.

Sarafov states that he is submitting the requests for proposals of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SGP). The statement said that during the investigation, inspections were carried out, many witnesses were questioned, records of cameras were incorporated.

The proposals state that the collected evidence is sufficient to attract as an accused of 4 MPs and the candidate for mayor for a crime under Article 325, paragraph 2, para 1 of the Criminal Code – performing indecent actions, grossly violating public order and expressing a clear disrespect for society – hooliganism. Exceptional cynicism.

It notes that the actions of Dimitrov, Chorbov and Todorov are also accompanied by resistance to the Ministry of Interior, and the hooliganism has been a continued crime composed of two separate acts.

Two of the MPs are threatened by arrest because of arson

Ivaylo Chorbov has requested the removal of immunity and for the illegal destruction of police uniforms, as well as for arson of property of considerable value – the building of the representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria). It is assumed that the fire was a danger to the lives of people nearby and there was a danger that the fire would spread to other real estate, inventory and goods, for which there would be a separate charge under a member of the Penal Code.

The request for Slavcho Krumov's immunity and for arson, it is stated that sufficient evidence has been collected to throw heated pyrotechnic articles and bottles of ignition fluid on the building of the European Commission's representation in Bulgaria.

I.F. The Attorney General points out in his requests to the National Assembly that there are prerequisites for submitting a request to the Sofia City Court for a measure of detention against Ivaylo Chorbov and Slavcho Krumov.

The number of MPs with requested immunity became 14

With today's request, the number of MPs from the 51st National Assembly with the requested immunity became 14. So far, eight MPs have voluntarily gave their immunity – Kiril Petkov and Lena Borislavova from « We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria » (PPI), Radostin Vasilev (DEAT), GUNAI) Angel Georgiev from Vazrajdane, as well as Daniel Alexandrov from GERB -UDS, and Dimitar Avramov from « MRF – New Beginning ».
