After a disappointing eighth place, the club was bought by entrepreneur Karen Abrahamyan and spent complete rebranding, changing its name to FC Noah.

The name is not a coincidence. It is a deep dedication to the biblical night, whose ark, according to the legend, after a large flood, agreed to the Ararat Mountain. Although Ararat is located today in the territory of Turkey, it is a national symbol of Armenia, the dominant view that is overwhelmed by the capital Erevan and the key part of the Armenian national identity.

In 2023, the club enters a new, even more ambitious phase. The ownership takes over Vardges Vardanyan, the founder of one of the largest IT companies in the country, with a vision to create a pillar of Armenian football from Noah. His goal was not only to win the domestic trophies, but also to create a club recognizable on the European folder and the development of young talents for the Armenian national team.

Vardanyan immediately turned his words into works. In the summer of 2024, a complete reconstruction of the team followed. A Portuguese Rui Mota was brought to the coach, and in just a few weeks, as many as 16 new players, most of the foreigners and free players, were signed. While the European giants spent hundreds of millions of euros, Noah built a competitive team without any euro compensation, with players whose salaries, according to the reports, were below € 6,000 per week.

The results arrived faster than expected. In qualifying for a conference league last season, Noah made a miracle. SHKëndija, Sliema Wandirers, Greek giant AEK AECTE fell, and finally Slovak Ruzomberok. In doing so, they became the first club in the history of competition to successfully pass all four rounds of qualifications.

In the realization of these ambitions, Vardanyan also has an unexpected ally – the Portuguese football legend of Luís Figa. – Luís Figo was one of the first to support my vision. We are friends and we often talk about the development of the club, and he gives me valuable advice – the owner revealed. Figa role is crucial in promoting young talents and strengthening the international reputation of the club.

The successes continued on the domestic scene, where the club was in the 2024/25 season. won his first double crown – the title of champion and the Cup. If he manages to arrange everything, Perkovic arrives at a financially arranged club that is in a terrible rise. And most importantly, he will play qualifications for the Champions League, what he failed to win with Dinamo.
