Salina Praid, saved with « involvement and responsibility »

Cătălin Predoiu has decided to set up an inter -ministerial working group that will evaluate the damages caused by the abundant rainfall at Salina Praid and will decide the measures that will be started in an emergency regime to remove the damages produced and to restore and rescue saline.

According to a statement of the Executive, the working group of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, Ministry of Economy, Digitization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests and Ministry of Internal Affairs will be part of the executive.

Prior to this measure, the National Committee for Emergency Situations, convened by the Interim Prime Minister, adopted the CNSU Decision on Thursday no. 7 regarding the evaluation and establishment of specific measures for returning to the state of normality to Salina Praid.

According to this decision, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment are empowered to analyze the situation and to propose to the Government urgent measures, including by allocating additional financial resources from the budget reserve fund at the disposal of the Government.

‘We are facing a situation that imposes immediate action. We must make sure, first of all, that the people in the area and those involved in the actions of limiting the damages are safe, but it is also important to have a clear image of the situation in the field, to ensure as quickly as possible the resources necessary for the recovery works in the area. It requires an overall perspective, which will take into account the specificity of the area and bring people back to the area that the local economic and tourist potential will be able to reborn after this attempt caused by the abundant rains of the last period. I asked the ministries to be involved in this step involvement and maximum responsibility and to find the most effective coordination solutions with the local authorities, so that the lives of the people in the area can return to normal as soon as possible, and Salina Praid will be saved, « said the interim prime minister, quoted in the statement.
