Said what was important when choosing a home
Laura Zhukov, Head of Financing at Luminor Bank, said how people’s wishes are different when choosing a home.
– Peace is one of the most commonly mentioned priorities that make people choose their homes. Why is it relevant to residents of big cities or smaller towns?
– Indeed, the Luminor Bank has just recently conducted a survey on the topic. We saw that trends are very much in the process of. When it comes to peace, we see that residents usually mention this criterion when choosing where to buy a home. About 60 percent The residents of Šiauliai and Panevėžys city responded that peace is the first priority, according to which residents are choosing where to buy housing today. Meanwhile, looking at metropolitan residents, such as the capital, we see completely different trends. Priorities such as the distance near the city center, public transport options, infrastructure – these are the great dominants. In fact, the results of the survey showed that the priorities are infinitely different.

– We also noticed that even Utena dominates. Quite a few respondents of Panevėžys and Šiauliai city answered this question.
– When it comes to nature, water and natural things – which cities are the most important?
– We noticed that the seaside residents dominate, but there were also Alytus and Utena district. This is probably a natural trend: where there is an opportunity – perhaps it is also related to a rest near the water – residents of those regions are choosing.
– There are quite a few beautiful parks in Vilnius. Vilnius residents did not stand out for the desire to live closer to nature?
– There are, but somehow we did not notice this criterion as one of the dominants this time.

– We hear – security, peace, nature. Where does the price remain on the list of priorities?
– This is probably one of those top priorities. We do such surveys for the first year – dominated and the price goes to the TOP5 criteria.
– But not top1?
– No, no top1. It is gone, perhaps that the thing in Vilnius is dominated, but we really see a trend in the regions as well. Looking at the real estate market, we still see diversification at prices, and it is natural that it can be one of the decisive things.
– Where do the happiest and happy people live in Lithuania?
It is worth doing those homework and calmly meditate, looking at yourself now and the future – what is important to me, what plans and needs.
– According to our data, we look at the seaside at this place. 62 % interviewees replied in the Klaipėda region that they were satisfied with their currently owned homes – they can also indicate satisfaction with the location of the dwelling itself. Mostly we associate the seashore with the rest, the quality of life.
– We had to hear a very good sentence once from those living in Palanga: we live like a holiday – always a resort, always seaside, always pine forests. Not surprisingly, there are the happiest people there. What kind of advice would you give to those who are currently looking for and haven’t decided on the place? How to make your own list of priorities and what would be the most important aspects, what should be taken into account?
– You should probably make that list according to your needs, plans. We always recommend that you consult, but for every resident, even before you consult with the bank, it is worth doing that homework and calmly meditate, looking at yourself now and the future – what is important to me, what plans and needs are important to me.
