S-Bahn Munich: Chief Route Next weekend closed
The S-Bahn line in Munich Will be blocked for construction work next weekend. According to the announcement, Deutsche Bahn works on tracks, soft and train stations. For passengers, this means « extensive timetable changes and replacement traffic. » The construction work on the second regular route in Laim will also continue that weekend. In the past few weeks it has already occurred more often to changes to timetable on the main route.
According to the railway, there is no train traffic on the S-Bahn tracks between Pasing and Leuchtenbergring and Giesing from Friday evening, May 9th until Monday morning, May 12th. The exception is the S7. The line has not been going through the main route since the last timetable change.

- S1: Only drives between Freising/Airport and Hauptbahnhof. S-Bahns do not keep between Moosach and the main train station. Sometimes the trains begin or end in Moosach (U3).
- S2: Only drives between Erding and Leuchtenbergring in the east. In the west, the railway runs between Petershausen and Heimeranplatz (U4/U5) in the west – without stopping between Obermenzing and Heimeranplatz.
In the section from Altomünster to Dachau, the trains run regularly. - S3: Only drives between Mammendorf and Pasing and between Giesing (U2) and Holzkirchen.
- S4: Only drives between Geltendorf and Pasing.
- S5: Only drives between Kreuzstraße and Giesing (U2).
- S6: Only drives between Tutzing and the main train station without keeping between Pasing and the main train station. The S-Bahn also run between Leuchtenbergring and Ebersberg.
- S7: Drives on your regular line path between Wolfratshausen and the main train station. At night, however, sometimes changed travel times apply.
- S8: Is diverted via the south ring – without stopping between the Ostbahnhof and Pasing and at the Leuchtenbergring.

S-Bahn master route Munich: This is replacement traffic during the closure
Due to the restrictions, the railway has set up replacement traffic for travelers. Between Pasing and the main train station, a bus runs every 10 minutes with a stop at all stations. Faster from and to the main station, travelers in this section go with the S6 and the regional trains without intermediate stop. The bus also connects 130 Pasing with Westendstrasse (U4/U5).
According to the announcement, the buses run with larger vehicles and on Saturday even in the denser 10-minute cycle. The U4 is to be extended from Theresienwiese to Westendstrasse and offer additional travel options from Heimeranplatz. Alternatively, passengers can also use the largely parallel U5 in the eastern area of the main line between the main train station and the Ostbahnhof.
