Rutte: NATO should increase air defense power by 400%

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the Alliance Member States should 400% increase the capacity of air and missile defense, as well as significantly increase the number of available weapons, strengthen the logistics and medical support of the army.

NATO Secretary General also noted that NATO troops « also need thousands of new armored vehicles and tanks, millions of additional artillery shells. »

« We need to double our auxiliary capabilities, such as logistics, supply, transportation and health care. The Alliance members will invest in more warships and aircraft. I will only give one example: American allies will acquire at least 700 F-35 fighters, » he said.

« We will also invest in more drones and missile systems. And we will invest more in space and cybernetic capabilities. If we do not invest more, our collective defense will not be reliable, » Mark Rutte said.
