Russians increased the reservation of international travel for summer
Reservation systems recorded an increase in tours sales for the coming summer by 16–26%. The driver became international directions whose share in the structure of demand increases by strengthening the ruble and expanding the geography of trips. Russian resorts due to the growth of competition from foreign countries and the closure of Anapa beaches, on the contrary, lost some of the vacationers.
The number of booked organized tours for the summer increased by 26% year by the year, calculated in the reservation service Travelata.ru. Level.Travel noted an increase in sales by 15% per year. The aggregate sales of the Intourist for the summer grew by 6%. The main driver of demand for all the “Kommersant” participants of the market was foreign directions. For Travelata.ru, their total share in the structure of the reservations increased by 5 percentage points, to 91%.
The growth of interest in international areas is clearly visible in the segment of independent reservations.
According to Yandex Traveling, the share of neighboring countries in the structure of sales of air tickets for the year increased from 6% to 8%, from 13% to 15%. Flights to Spain fell by 22%, up to 77.9 thousand rubles, in Thailand – by 19%, up to 57.8 thousand rubles.
The increase in prices remains sufficiently restrained for organized tourism. In ANEX, they say that the average check when booking tours abroad for a year grew by 7.8%. And in the case of the UAE and Thailand, he even decreased. The Intourist recorded a reduction for Vietnam and Egypt, which showed a significant increase in sales. Both countries are considered dollar areas, prices for which can change under the influence of foreign exchange rates.
The share of the most massive tourist destination, Turkey, in the structure of organized sales for the coming summer decreased by 4 percentage points, to 55%.
